OUR STORY

Built Different. Sound Different.

At Maverick Pedal Co., we believe great guitar tone shouldn't be ordinary.

Based in Florence, South Carolina, Maverick Pedal Co. is a boutique guitar effects company dedicated to creating hand-built, carefully tuned guitar pedals for guitarists who demand more from their sound.

Our philosophy is simple: exceptional tone comes from thoughtful circuit selection, careful component choices, and the willingness to go beyond standard designs.

We're not interested in building just another overdrive pedal. We're focused on creating distinctive combinations that inspire players to explore their own sound.

THE MAVERICK APPROACH

Hand-Built. Carefully Tuned. Purposefully Voiced.

Every Maverick pedal begins with two carefully selected circuits chosen for their individual character and how they complement one another.

Rather than simply combining two effects in one enclosure, we evaluate and refine their tonal characteristics to create a more cohesive and versatile playing experience.

Through thoughtful component selection, circuit modifications, and hands-on tonal evaluation, we work to achieve the balance of warmth, clarity, dynamics, and expressive gain that defines the Maverick sound.

From subtle, touch-sensitive breakup to rich, sustaining lead tones, our goal is to give players exceptional flexibility without sacrificing the natural character of their guitars and amplifiers.

CRAFTSMANSHIP WITH CHARACTER

Every Maverick pedal is assembled by hand with attention to detail, quality components, and a commitment to consistent performance.

Our dual-overdrive designs bring two distinct tonal voices together in a single enclosure, with flexible stacking options that open up an extensive range of sounds.

Beyond the circuitry, each pedal features distinctive western-inspired artwork reflecting Maverick's independent spirit.

From the rugged attitude of Brimstone and Desperado to the expressive character of The Preacher and Redeemer, every model has its own identity, personality, and purpose.

THE SPIRIT OF MAVERICK

Maverick Pedal Co. was built around a simple idea: guitarists should have the freedom to discover their sound rather than settle for someone else's.

We believe a great pedal should respond to the player, complement their equipment, and inspire creativity every time it's switched on.

No unnecessary complexity. No compromises made simply for convenience. Just thoughtfully voiced, handcrafted pedals with character.
